Game Of Thrones Star Diana Rigg Dies At 82

Dame Diana Rigg of the Game of thrones fame has died at the age of 82. She starred as the matriarch of the Tyrell dynasty casting as Lady Olenna Tyrrell A.K.A queen of thorns.

She is most remembered for her iconic line: “Tell Cersei. I want her to know it was me.”

Dame Diana died peacefully in her sleep early this morning (Thursday), at home, surrounded by family.

The BBC quotes her daughter, actress Rachael Stirling as saying she died of cancer, after being diagnosed in March.

She was quoted to say “She spent her last months joyfully reflecting on her extraordinary life, full of love, laughter and a deep pride in her profession”.

Diana was the only Mrs. Bond in the 1969 James Bond 007 – Her Majesty’s Secret Service. She also starred in The Avengers from 1965 – 1968 among others.

Dame Enid Diana Elizabeth Rigg was born in the United Kingdom on July, 20 1938.
