Tragedy As UNIBEN Female Lecturer, An Active Jehovah’s Witness Killed By Driver On Police Chase

It was a sad one yesterday evening(20-7-2020) around 6:30pm when the Nigerian police force facilitated the death of Dr Stella Okotie at the University of Benin main gate where the late lecturer of the faculty of education was standing with her husband,Dr Williams Okotie also a staff of the institution with her son Mr Ochuko Okotie.

It’s was said that the men of the NPF attached to Ugbowo Division was pursuing a commercial bus in quest for money of which lead to the physical struggle between the driver and the police for the.The wheels (steering). While struggling, the driver ran into (Dr Mrs okotie) who was on the walk way at main gate just by the side of her vehicle.

She died on the spot. Reason for the traffic at Uniben gate last night. Copied. And it was also said that instead of the police to take the victims to the hospital, they fled the scene.Luckily/unfortunately one could not make it. ( As told by @tepujnr)

NaijaSpleen – Dr. Okotie is an active member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Christian Organisation, well know in and around the Isihor area for her active role in evangelism. I bleed in my heart as she is personally known to me for many years. She is a lovely woman and just like her husband, they are humble and always smiling.

Apart from being a staff, she along with her husband are entrepreneurs and are whole sale distributors of UNIBEN water. It was that business they were running that she met her untimely death.

As a result of the shutdown of schools, dealers of table water like Mrs. Okotie have been selling their products by the main gate.

She will be greatly missed by the university community, her family, grand son and members of her christian family and Bible students.
