MLDI is about to commence a project to defend, promote and strengthen freedom of expression online for independent media, bloggers and journalists in selected countries in Africa. We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join the team and lead the implementation of the project.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and communications skills, and be able to work independently, as part of a team and with a variety of partners around the world.  Previous experience of working on donor funded projects, commissioning research, managing consultants, organizing training and working with partners are key requirements for this role.  

The role would suit someone with an interest in human rights law, digital freedom and/or media law. You can download the full role description and person specification at

I am a graduate who has returned back to the University. I am studying engineering but writing is a passion that i eat and sleep with. I foresee the passion becoming a profession in a close future.
